Created by the legendary Chuck Lorre, the show presented Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper and Jon Cryer as Alan. However, when Lydia starts bossing Berta around, the housekeeper threatens to quit her job if he doesn’t end his relationship with her. While he initially lies to both of them, after Berta catches him in his lie, she quits immediately.

Charlie ends up breaking up with Lydia and requests Berta to come back. She agrees, but only on the condition that Charlie would have to attend a s*x-addict seminar. In a later season episode titledNice to Meet You Walden Schmidt, Lydia, alongside many of Charlie Harper’s ex-partners, makes an appearance at his funeral.
