In early September, Level-5 announcedthey’re bringingYo-Kai Watch 4to PS4following its Switch release. This is a surprising move as theYo-Kai Watchseries never ever left Nintendo handheld consoles until now.
We now got some additional details on this PS4 version ofYo-Kai Watch 4. It’s officially titledYo-Kai Watch 4 ++, and it’ll release on December 5 in Japan. The Switch is getting it as well. If you already ownYo-Kai Watch 4on Switch, you’ll be able to buyYo-Kai Watch 4 ++‘scontent as DLC for 1500 Yen (tax excluded).
Yo-Kai Watch 4 ++will be priced at 6,480 Yen (tax excluded) and will include new elements not found in the base game. It’ll also include a Chinese translation (both simplified and traditional Chinese).
First off,Yo-Kai Watch 4 ++adds a coop multiplayer mode with up to four players. This can be played online or with friends nearby with their own Switches and game copy. The mode also features a brand-new boss.

And lastly, we’ve got new characters and yokais.
First print copies ofYo-Kai Watch 4 ++includes a badge and a DLC code to get S-Rank yokai Hyakki Hime.
The ++ part ofYo-Kai Watch 4 ++ is pronounced “pura pura”, referencing the Japanese onomatopoeia used to describe something moving eerily in the air, like a ghost.
Hopefully, this is the version of the game we’ll get from the start when it launches in the west.Yo-Kai Watch 4was announced in the west but with no release estimate.
The firstYo-Kai Watchgame is also getting an HD remaster on Switch.Level-5’s President Akihiro Hino also spoke about some upcoming projects in an interview,including a new unannouncedNi No Kunigame.
Level-5 recently overhauled its whole development system to avoid its games getting massive delays again. One of these long-awaited games, the nextInazuma Eleven, was recently re-revealed asInazuma Eleven Heroes Great Road, coming in Spring 2020 in Japan.
