Apart from the classic black and white covers, fans have had the privilege to see their beloved Xbox consoles adorn special edition covers. These include a lot of crossovers and collaborations with games, movies, and even non-gaming brands (remember the Xbox and Porsche crossover).

Recently, Xbox revealed another such crossover with a comic series, and it’s beyond special. However, the special collaboration seems to be upsetting fans, who seem to have some serious issue with Microsoft.
Xbox X-Men edition
Xbox recently announcedit is celebrating the latest debut of theX-MenTV series,X-Men ’97. To mark the debut, Xbox maker Microsoft and Marvel have collaborated for a special-editionX-MenXbox Series X.
Notably, according to Microsoft, this is the first time an Xbox Series X console has been wrapped by a comic book. The bundle includes a set of controllers based on the colors ofX-Mencharacters, including Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Morph, Magneto, Jubilee, Gambit, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Beast, and Bishop.

The console looks as if has been wrapped in the pages of a comic book featuring vibrant colors, fan-favorite characters, and a specially designed layout.Marvelwriter Rich Douek and artist Paco Diaz are said to have created the two-page story. The comic has Cyclops taking theX-Meninto battle against Sentinels and Master Mold.

Interestingly, Microsoft is not selling these nostalgia-inducing consoles but is rather offering it to players via a giveaway. Players can enter the giveaway and stand a chance to win this Xbox and controller by following Xbox’s official X account (formerly Twitter) and re-sharing the announcement post. Players have time until May 20 to participate in the contest.
Fans upset with Microsoft over the new XboxX-Men ’97consoles
Fans have been obsessing over the design and look of the new console. However, they have one major problem with the makers. Several fans dropped their admiration for just how gorgeous and beautiful the console looks. Several users also expressed their hopes about winning the contest.
But more than anything else, there were a whole bunch of upset and dejected fans asking Microsoft one question – ‘Why wouldn’t they sell it?’ Fans expressed their eagerness to buy the console. They said that the console is so amazing that they wouldn’t mind shelling out money from their pockets instead of participating in a giveaway just to get their hands on the beauty.

X-Men ’97is a continuation of an earlier franchise from the 1990s. The comic is currently streaming on Disney+ and is being highly acclaimed by the audience.
