At first, he seems like a one-off NPC who can be found nearNian Suichang,but his quest spans a large chunk of the game, and it ends in a very satisfying way. So let’s break down this mysterious character and see where his quest takes you in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Boy in the Jar’s First Location: Shu Sanctum
The Boy in the Jar makes his first appearance fairly early in the campaign. When you are on your way from the Lightzen Temple to Shu Sanctum, you will come across Nian on the side of the road.
Nian will casually mention the boy sitting in a nearby building. Go inside the building to find the boy sitting on the floor.
You can give him the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying. This is found in Lightzen Temple around some enemies standing by a table. Lightzen Temple is the same location where you fight theMaster Raider boss.
The Boy in the Jar will be given some food items similar to the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying, so be sure to hang onto these as you progress through the game, as they are important.
Boy in the Jar’s Second Location: Refugee Camp
As you progress through the game, you will reach a location called Hillswatch that connects to Cloudspire and Zhenwu Temple. As you traverse this area, you will find the White-Robed Elder near a bridge outside the Refugee Camp.
The White-Robed Elder will let you know that the camp is up ahead. You will find the Boy in the Jar on the other side of the bridge before you reach the Refugee Camp.
In this location,the Boy in the Jar can be given the Dough Figurine of Yang Zongbao or the Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun.These are retrieved from outside Shu Sanctum near theGluttonous Monstrosity boss fightand earlier in the area before the Refugee Camp.
Boy in the Jar’s Third Location: Refugee Camp
After you defeat theBo Sorcerer,the Boy in the Jar will move to a different area of the Refugee Camp. You might notice that he is on the other side of the bridge behind a closed door.
To reach this area, make your way up the hill on the other side of the Bo Sorcerer’s boss arena. When you see a cart on the right, destroy it and take the alternate path. This will lead you to where the boy is.
