Blizzard has revealed all the new content coming toWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight with the Embers of Neltharion update, including a new raid, revamped upgrade system, weekly challenges, and an all-new zone, Zaralek Cavern. The update will roll out in two installments, the first one on May 2 and the second on May 9.
The Embers of Neltharion is one of the biggest updates WoW: Dragonflight has received so far, adding a wealth of playable content ranging from new raids to challenges and public events. It will introduce an all-new zone featuring new allies and foes, the Zaralek Cavern. Players must complete the Embers of Neltharion campaign to pursue their enemies into the dangers of Zaralek Cavern, which lies within the chasm between Valdrakken and Ohn’ahran Plains.

As players venture into the hidden depths of this new zone, they will come across local inhabitants like Drogbar and Niffen. They will participate in their own race by nudging Brulee to gain Zoom. In addition, a new faction named Niffen will show their willingness to trade with outsiders. Players will unlock their Renown tracks for rewards upon the completion of the first chapter of the campaign.
The Embers of Neltharion update also comes with a new raid, which will see players breaching and exploring a secret laboratory hidden within the Zaralek Cavern. They will square up against nine new enemies, including Rashok, Kazzara, The Vigilant Steward, and Zskarn. Apart from new enemies and allies, the Zaralek Cavern is home to some inhabitants like Alcanon, Swooping Flayer, Redolent Whelk, and Sulfira.

Moreover, players will drive through complex caverns of the new zone and navigate a vast underground world. Dragons now sense six new Glyphs to help players expand their riding skills. The Winding Slitherdrake can be earned throughout the journey. Lastly, the upcoming update brings new public events, revamped item upgrade system, weekly activities, cross-faction guilds, and PvP season which includes dungeon refresh and rewards.
