Sometimes you come across fanmade mockups that are too good to be true. We’ve all had our laughs about how the PS5 distinct white and black design looks likea turret straight out ofPortal 2, but what will crossover promotional versions of the PlayStation 5 look like? Thankfully, we don’t have to spend too much time dwelling on it – community artist and designer XboxPope has been making mockups of multiple titles, including a hypothetical PS5 Spider-Man: Miles Morales edition.
The jury is still out on whether the launch version of the PS5 is a masterstroke of futuristic genius or an eyesore for the entertainment center, but that hasn’t let the community’s minds run wild. Specifically, community designer XboxPope has been making a ton of high-level concepts for the PS5. For example, what if the PS5 launches with a special edition for theMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Moraleslaunch:

This isn’t the first time we’ve covered XboxPope – last time his worked was featured on DualShockers, it was for his awesome take on aGhost of Tsushimadesign for PS4. The dude is an expert of the craft, and PR and hardware collaborators would be nuts for not trying to collaborate with them.
In other PS5 news, there was a brief panic around a rumored pre-order for the next gen console thatnever came to be. Sony has since addressed the confusion, letting gamers know that PlayStation fans will be well aware of whenthe hardware pre-orders are going live. In fact – they are predicting a busier launch than originally anticipated, and areramping up production to meet the demand.
PS5 is set to launch sometime in Holiday 2020, though no official launch date has been revealed; similarly theMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Moralesstandalone game will be coming to the PS5 around the same time.
