First spottedby IGN Japan, the official Wild Hearts Japanese account hasposted several Q&Asto answer fans' queries about many things related to the updates, gameplay, world setting, and story, and one of them tackled the most important mystery in the story, the fate of Princess Toga (also known as Toga-hime).
Needless to say, the rest of this article will contain spoilers, so proceed with caution.
Toga-Hime is one of the main characters of Wild Hearts' story and the steward of the hub City, Minato. During the story, the princess goes missing under unexplained circumstances, and this all happens off-screen as well, so it all felt uneventful and without any meaningful payoff for those who ended up investing in her character (as thisdedicated Reddit threadto questioning the princess’s fate and her whereabouts suggests).

Fans were (and still are) conflicted about whether or not to write her off as dead, but they have not forgotten about her, asone question on the recent studio AMAinquired about this particular point. The devs teased that her disappearance was for the sake of “mystery” and “suspense”, and asked with a knowing wink about what her sister will do next. The Japanese Q&A, however, delved a bit deeper into the mystery of her death than the English one.
The question reads: Why doesn’t anyone in Minato mention anything about the princess? (In Wild Hearts, not only does the princess disappear, but the townspeople basically treat her as nothing). The answer is as follows: “The residents of Minato regularly rotate their positions as town stewards, so they are often absent from Minato. Therefore, even if Princess Toga is absent, the residents simply assume that she has temporarily returned to her territory.”
The answer also adds: “Furthermore, there is no accurate information regarding the whereabouts of Princess Toga, and it is not a situation where it can be confirmed that she has died. (Director Takuto Edagawa)”
All of this means that there is a mystery surrounding Toga, and the developers are aware of this and don’t want to write her off as dead. Of course, while this answer debunks the interpretation that Toga is dead, it still doesn’t provide any official confirmation that she will receive any content updates in the future. Still, the devs' answers make us wonder.
