Just last year, R&B singer, Cassie Ventura, who was once signed with Diddy’s music label filed a lawsuit against the star claiming physical abuse, r*pe, and more, according to reports fromPeople. Initially, it might have seemed like a he-said-she-said situation. However, that quickly changed when a 2016 surveillance clip of the rapper mistreating and abusing the 38-year-old went viral. Fans were left outraged and so was the musician’s baby momma, Misa Hylton. According to reports fromUSA Today, the fashion designer took to her Instagram in a now-deleted post to voice her anger.
I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her.
Hylton continued,“I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma.”Although the designer did not delve into her past problems, her anger at the situation was clearly visible. After all, the video that sparked outrage featured Diddy allegedly hitting, dragging, and kicking then-girlfriend, Ventura, at a Los Angeles hotel.
