A brand new season ofIruma-kunis on the way:Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3is currently in production, as confirmed this September 11.
The announcement was made right after the final episode ofIruma-kun season 2was aired in Japan. A teaser trailer was shared for the occasion and can be found further down below.
Season 3 will most notably adapt the Harvest Festival arc taking place in a huge jungle of the demon world. Makoto Moriwaki is returning to direct this season.
The originalWelcome to Demon School! Iruma-kunmanga has over 23 volumes so far in Japan. And the first two seasons only covered at least up to volume 11. So there’s still quite a lot of material. The anime series turned out quite popular too, and it looks like it was popular enough to be granted one more season.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kunis initially titledMairimashita! Iruma-kun. The manga was launched in 2017 by Osamu Nishi. It’s an incredibly fun comedy series, and season 3 is sure to keep that up thanks to Makoto Moriwaki. She’s one of the biggest, veteran directors in the industry and used to work on the firstDoraemonanime and movies in 1979.
Makoto Moriwaki is one of the best anime directors who still regularly work on TV series, and perhaps the best comedy specialist out there. She was the director of the gag seriesMilky Holmes, and of the incredibly wackyPriPara, an idol anime part of thePretty Seriesfranchise. Everyone should watch it. Note that no release date was officially announced forWelcome to Demon School! Iruma-kunSeason 3. We can assume it won’t be coming until mid or late 2022 though seeing it was only revealed now.
TheIruma-kunseries also has some spinoffs. You first haveHoukago no! Iruma-kun, which is an anthology series with various authors doing short stories. Then,Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Gaidenwas just started in 2021. This one focuses on Kalego’s school days at Babyls Demon School. Lastly, you haveMakai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da!a spin-off taking place in the same universe but with different characters. None of these spinoffs are licensed in the USA at the moment.
