Call of DutySeason Three: Classified kicked off with a bang inWarzoneandVanguardearlier this week, but Xbox players have been left frustrated following an error message stating that the “current profile is not allowed to play multiplayer”.

The fatal error message appears to only be affecting those on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but is completely preventing players from playingCall of Duty: Modern Warfaremultiplayer andCall of Duty: Warzone. Thankfully, Raven Software, the developers ofWarzone, has issued a statement on the new issue.

Raven Software Responds to “Current Profile Is Not Allowed To Play Multiplayer” Warzone Error

The issue first arose following the release ofWarzone’sSeason Three patch, which went live on April 27th at 9AM PT and brought the game to version 1.57.

It didn’t take long following the launch of Season Three for Xbox players to begin experiencing an error message stating that the “current profile is not allowed to play multiplayer”. Although the exact cause of the error is unknown, it does appear to be related to Xbox Live.

There are numerous tiers of Xbox Live, with the free version (Xbox Live Silver) only allowing players to access free-to-play Multiplayer titles such asCall of Duty: Warzone. Should Xbox users want to play the Multiplayer modes for a paid title, they will need to fork out for a higher Xbox Live tier such as Gold.

However, even though Xbox Live Silver should still allow players to accessCall of Duty: Warzone, that appears to no longer be the case following the latest update.

Thankfully, this isn’t an intentional change and Raven Software has issued a response, the developers stated that they are “investing an issue where Xbox Live Silver users are unable to play Warzone”. The error is now listed on theofficialWarzoneTrello Boardand is actively being investigated by Raven Software.
