The irony of his title was clear throughout his interview with People Magazine. According to Krasinski, he was not exactly the girl-magnet in high school. He described himself as that guy whom a lot of people (girls) thank for helping them out during the breakup. He said that he was always the guy who lent them shoulders to cry upon. Krasinski shared withPeople:

If you look back at my high school yearbook, I think a lot of people wrote things like, ‘Thanks for helping me get through my breakup’ or ‘You’re a great shoulder to cry on.’ Stuff like that… I was really there for moral support for the ladies, not so much uh in a romantic way.
Krasinski further shared about the one person who was truly“excited”about the news, his wife Emily Blunt. Krasinski recalled an old bet with his wife, where Blunt shared that she would wallpaper the house with his cover image if he made it to People’s Sexiest Man Alive. The actor intends to push his wife to keep her word.

Krasinski also had an idea of how the title would change his life. He shared,“I think it’s going to make me do more household chores,”adding that he would now have to earn the title at home too.
