The heroes perform tasks under the orders of the company and they begin to hate being corporate heroes. However, Gunn had already planned for this gap between production and its release date to give enough time to VFX artists to properly do their work.

OnThreads, the director revealed that VFX artists are significant in bringing these superhero films to life and it is important to give them the time that they need for better results. While they have already started working on some CG shots suing filming, the one-year gap gives them ample time to further shape the look of the film as best as possible. Gunn wrote,
If you do some research you’ll see my films have always taken a different approach and I’ve always given my VFX artist-collaborators time to do their jobs properly and the respect they deserve. This is why we wrapped on Superman a year before release and why they’ve been hard at work on many shots for months before that. This is why we start heartily editing during the shoot. I can’t praise the VFX artists that help us create magic enough.
Supermanwill star David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Other actors who will be a part of the film’s ensemble cast are Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, María Gabriela de Faría, Sara Sampaio, Skyler Gisondo, Nicholas Hoult, and many others.
Supermanwill hit theaters on August 22, 2025.
