TheStar Warsseries has become one of the most well-known and successful franchises of all time, and a huge part of this has to do with George Lucas. The filmmaker created the series from scratch and has been involved in almost every single project from the franchise in some way or another. The most recent addition to the story from galaxies away has beenStar Wars: The Bad Batch.

Recently, one of the actors in the series talked about filming the third season of the series. Interestingly enough, he believed it to be the final puzzle piece in Lucas’s legacy in the franchise, and many fans might get emotional with what he had to say.

However, ever since the series merged into the world of Disney, it is as though his grasp on leadership and authority has been dwindling and loosening.
Going from directing every single project to simply playing the role of writer in some and producer in all, the change in dynamic has not been lost on fans. So much so, that it is rare for him to head a project now as a creator, usually working as a producer. The most recent project where he was able to fully head wasThe Clone Wars, which later led to the creation ofThe Bad Batch.

“That actually tracks back to the original idea that George Lucas came up with because this is sort of the end of George Lucas’ legacy is the Bad Batch – he came up with that idea, and it was part of the original Clone Wars series that he made with Dave Filoni…”said Baker.
Speaking on this, and how the filmmaker did technically have a huge influence on the series, Baker pointed out something along those lines. He mentioned how the show releasing its third season would mark the final chapter in Lucas’ story in a way.

George Lucas’ Approach to the Clones inClone WarsandStar Wars: The Bad Batch
Dee Bradley Baker then went on to talk about what it was like for him to work alongside that legend, George Lucas. In the two interconnected shows, the voice actor plays the role of all of the clones, a task that is not easy in any way. Despite this, he was able to give a sense of individuality to all of them, even though they technically had the same voice.

“The dynamic that he and the writers came up with was very clear… so that they feel so different, that it was actually easy for me – easier for me – than keeping the clones distinct because they all feel like such different people to me.”
When asked how he was able to perform such a task, he gave all the credit to Lucus. He stated that it was the way that the characters were written that helped him give them such individuality. All the clones had a uniqueness to them and all had discernible characteristics that made them, all feel like individual people.
