Farming the blueprints for Crystallization Catalysts inThe First Descendantis no laughing matter, but getting a fully crafted one? It’s basically unheard of—until now, that is.

One Redditor has figured out a huge secret that the game hasn’t openly told its players. If it’s confirmed, then you’re about to save a lot of blood, sweat, and tears trying to grab these precious materials.
How to Get Crystallization Catalysts in The First Descendant
Crystallization Catalysts are a highly desirable item inThe First Descendant. Since they let you change the Module Socket Type of your weapons and descendants, no doubt you want to get as many of these as you can.
It’s easier said than done, however. You can only farm their blueprints by opening Amorphous Material Patterns at a 15% chance drop rate, which isn’t that great.

You then need a ton of materials to craft them: 22 Macromolecule Biogel, 18 Advanced Neural Circuit, 8 Mixed Energy Residue, and 8 Murky Energy Residue. Not to mention, the 7 hours and 30 minutes it takes to actually do the crafting.
Thanks to one Redditor, we might’ve cracked the code on how to get fully crafted versions of these items, entirely cutting out the material farming and crafting process.

Supposedly, you may grab fully crafted Catalysts from the final wave of defense missions. They’re not shown as a reward chance, so it’s not 100% confirmed, but people have managed to get it.
Does the Risk Outweigh the Reward?
Defense missions inThe First Descendantare no joke and can be quite difficultunless you’ve got a solid meta build. To top that off, it takes an hour to complete these missions. What if you failed 45-50 minutes in?
Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about losing loot like that inThe First Descendant.

The game will still give you all the rewards you’ve accumulated up until the point you failed, unlikeWarframe.
One of the biggest issues seems to be that the waves of enemies in defense missions are dependent on a time limit, and not a set amount of kills.

This can quickly get a little mind-numbing, so maybe have a show on in the background, unless you’re struggling to kill these mobs. If that’s the case, sorry to say but you’re probably not lasting till the end of the mission anyway.
With it still not being 100% confirmed, it’s a little risky to go on a ton of defense missions and pray that you’re going to get one of these Catalysts.
Have you ever gotten an unexpected item as a reward inThe First Descendant? We’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
