TheBatman Arkhamtrilogy is still regarded as one of the greatest franchises in gaming and many fans hoped that the spin off game from Rocksteady would live up to that expectation. Sadly, theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguegame which was released earlier this year was regarded by fans as nothing short of a disappointment.

With the final part of the trilogy,Batman: Arkham Knightreleased in 2015, it was hoped that in the years that followed fans would get theSuicide Squad-themed game that they had been yearning for. Unfortunately for fans, it would pale in comparison and this has been further highlighted by the cut content which can be seen of the original trilogy.
Batman Arkham Cut Content – A Cut Above
The cut content which can been accessed from bothThe Cutting Room FloorandArkham Wikigoes on to highlight the various character models, suits, additional DLC and even additions to the maps, amongst other things which would have been fascinating, had it had been included in the core games.
Further to this is demo footage forBatman:Arkham Originsfrom E3 2013 which shows a train travelling round the tracks in Gotham. This was never featured in the final cut of the game and it would have been interesting if players were able to interact with this, either as a jumping off point or to travel around on.

“Just stop the support and cut the losses”: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Announcement Ends What Little Hype Season 2 Had
Whilst there is so much cut content available for the trilogy, fans who see it may be left asking how theSuicide Squadgame could go so wrong? The content which didn’t make the final games appears to be vastly superior to that which fans have painstakingly endured with the latest Warner Bros. game.
Could This Be The End For WB Discovery?
With how disappointingSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas performed in a financial sense, it is perhaps no surprise that the publishers are trying to recoup some of its losses. This disappointment, along with others, has led toWB Discovery having the discussion about potentially sellingoff some of its smaller assets.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Goes Free in One Last Attempt to Succeed
This could see the likes of theMortal Kombatand DC Games franchises being made available for sale, with the possibility of the Harry Potter inspiredHogwarts Legacyjoining them. Whilst the latter was hugely popular, it appears even the success of that game is not enough to balance the books.
It’s clear that theBatman Arkhamtrilogy still holds a lasting legacy as one of the greatest gaming franchises and the recent spin-off has fallen far short of living up to what fans expected. With content which didn’t make the final games showing how superior the original trilogy is, it only goes to further the disappointment with the current DC title.
