Most of the worry stems from that, as people wonder whether all their investments will go down the drain onceGTA 6finally emerges. One fan believes thatOnline, with all its history and player data, will simply be ported over to the next game.

It’s a complicated situation, too. If Rockstar does carry the player data over to the next game, then the new players will be left at a severe disadvantage. On the other hand, there will undoubtedly be a storm of controversy if Rockstar asks older players to start over from scratch completely.
The way people see it, Rockstar has only a few paths. They can either build a separate audience with the following title and slowly phase out support for the older game, completely incorporate the current online into the new one, or give players some hefty rewards instead of carrying data over.
