In arecent interview, many fans were unhappy with some details that the series apparently didn’t respect regarding the games. Both Todd Howard, head of Bethesda and creator of multipleFalloutgames, and Jonathan Nolan, showrunner of the TV show, talked about a main detail that fans were waiting for. The series is set after which game in the franchise, and specifically after which game? This was finally revealed.

The series’ authors have clarified that the game takes place in the year 2296, a significant distance from the events ofFallout 4, which took place in 2287, andNew Vegas, which occurred in 2281. Howard has already confirmed that the TV show exists within the games’ canon, so everything that happened in the franchise is part of this adaptation. A very important city was destroyed; this was revealed at the end of the season.
There is no confirmation about whether this series will have a second season; Amazon Prime Video has not confirmed this yet. Fans are waiting for a second season, after which success will likely happen very soon. The critics praised this series adaptation as one of the most faithful products inspired by a video game franchise. At the moment, the audience will have to wait a while until a new update arrives.
