In the run-up to Netflix’sThe Witcher’s (hopeful) 2021 release, the show has announced seven new cast members to its Season 2 line-up.
Following on from the hugely successful running of its first season, Netflixâs video game and book adaptation, starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, is currently shooting its second season. Today, we get a look at some of the brand new cast members that will be joining Geralt and Yennefer on their epic adventures.

Who is Graham McTavish?
Scottish actor Graham McTavish will be playing Dijkstra (Sigismund Dijkstra) who many will know from CD Projekt RedâsThe Witcheras the slimy spy and head of Redanian Intelligence. If he looks somewhat familiar to you, McTavish has also stared as Dwalin inÂThe Hobbit film trilogy, Dracula in Netflix’s animated seriesÂCastlevania, The Saint of Killers in the AMC seriesÂPreacher, and Dougal Mackenzie in the Starz seriesÂOutlander.
Who else is cast to join Season 2 of The Witcher?
Among the all-star cast, Liz Carr (Silent Witness) will play Fenn and Simon Dallow as Codringher, both partners in a detective agency, whileÂBridgertonÂstar Andoh will play priestess Nenneke. Kevin Doyle who played the Irish valet Joseph Molesley in the TV seriesÂDownton Abbeyis set to portray Ba’lian and Chris Fulton from Bridgerton will slip into the shoes of Rience, a major antagonist in theWitcherbook series.
Cassie Clare is also added to the list who we already know as being cast as Phillipa Eilhart, a sorceress and one of the victims of the Witch Hunts, having been tortured and killed by Archpriest Willemer’s men.
When does Season 2 of Netflix The Witcher release?
The WitcherÂseason two has faced numerous delays to its filming due to the coronavirus crisis and injuries. As season two is still being filmed, no official release date is planned right now but we are hopeful it’ll be this year!
