“Tomorrow,” readsBethesda’s cryptic post onX. They post a time, (11am EST), they link two upcoming streams, one on Twitch and the other on Youtube, and leave all their fans to stew. That Youtube stream is simply titled “All will be revealed….”, and with any luck, we’ll see everything we need.
It has long been suspected that Bethesda’s remaster ofThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionwould be a completeshadow drop. That is, the game would simply release with minimal fanfare, as a complete package for fans to enjoy. A full 0-100 in an instant, set the internet on fire, etc etc get money.
Naturally, this big surprise arrival has been a bit ofa leaky ship. We’ve long since known that the Oblivion remaster was a thing we’d get, and Bethesda’s marketing department is stuck playing catch-up.
But with that said, based on the accuracy of leaks so far… don’t be surprised if you’ll get to play the Oblivion remaster starting tomorrow. Bethesda’s getting up early to pull something together, and though we don’t know exactly what it is, giving the game its predicted shadow drop would be both expected and exciting.
That said, it could be possible that with so many leaks around the game, Bethesda has chosen to give up the shadow drop plan. As cool as the project is, it’s not much of a surprise anymore, so Bethesda can’t really access any of the benefits a shadow drop would usually grant.

Anything could happen “Tomorrow”. The release date for the Oblivion remaster could be April 22nd, as listed in the post, or it could be a full game reveal. This is the first big acknowledgment of the project that Bethesda has given us, so it’s clear that they’ve got something big in the pipeline.
Whatever it is, we’ll learn it all very soon.

The stream will happen tomorrow, at 11am EST. That’s 8am PDT for those on the Pacific coast, and 4pm BST for those closer to London.
