A trailer for the new season was released on May 20th, which featured Soap. Fans have been wondering if he’s truly back from the dead, or is there more to it? With the revelation of when exactly Season 4 takes place, we now have an answer.

The Mystery of Soap’s Return in Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Has Finally Been Answered

As it turns out, the mission in the trailer takes place in 2022, before the events ofModern Warfare III.This means that Soap is indeed dead.

Season 4 of MW3 takes place prior to the events of the game’s campaign, which means Soap is still technically dead in the game’s overall story.

Two new maps will be added to the game: Tokyo and Paris. These will be available from the start of Season 4, and two more maps are on the way later in the season, including Incline and Das Gross.The season also introduces several new game modes to keep things interesting, such as Demolition, Hyper Cranked, Cache, Mutation, Headshots Only, and Havoc.

The beloved Kar98k marksman rifle is making a comeback, which will be available through theSeason 4 battle pass. You can also unlock the Superi 46 submachine gun and the Reclaimer 18 shotgun as part of the battle pass and later in the season as well.

There are also some impressive new Killstreaks in Season 4. The Loitering Munition, available for eight kills or 1,000 score, is an unmanned drone that hovers over targeted areas and launches rockets at the highest concentration of enemies. The Intelligent Munitions System, or I.M.S., is another addition for seven kills or 875 score. It deploys four smart explosives that target and eliminate enemies and vehicles within range.

There are also new perks to customize your loadout. The Mission Control Vest reduces the number of kills needed by one and score required by 125 for your kill streaks, giving you quicker access to powerful abilities. The Compression Plate gear perk lets you regenerate health instantly after getting a kill with your Primary or Secondary.
