Several fan theories are dwelling around theOne Piececommunity about who is going to be the next member of Straw Hat Pirates. A recent theory speculated about the possibility of former admirals joining Monkey D. Luffy’s crew has created an uproar among the fanbase. It suggested that either Admiral Kizaru or former Admiral Aokiji (Kuzan) might join the Straw Hats in their adventures.
The theory proposed that these high-ranking Marine officials, who were once formidable opponents of Straw Hat Pirates, might experience a major change in allegiance. Their shift could alter the power dynamics within theOne Pieceworld. With these powerful allies, Luffy might get inside knowledge of the World Government and Marine operations.
Marine Admirals Setting Their Sail With Straw Hats
In the Egghead Island arc, viewers witnessed Kizaru’s internal struggle as he was forced to defy his own moral ethics. The usually stiff admiral showed his anger and frustration, particularly when he lashed out at Fleet Admiral Akainu. His emotional outburst was evident that he was in distress over having killed his best friend Dr Vegapunk. This outburst led many fans to speculate a potential shift in his allegiances.
On the other side, Aokiji has already left the Marines and joined the Blackbeard Pirates after the time skip. Although his motives are still unclear. The theory also suggested that he might be playing a long game byeventually setting himself upto ally with Luffy in the future.
Kizaru’s involvement on Egghead Island may have shaken his loyalty to the World Government. So, if Kizaru does learn about Lilith that she basically is the will of Vegapunk now, he would want to reunite with her or possibly join her. That could mean joining the Straw Hats, as Lilith is currently traveling on their ship.

Aokiji’s past actions suggested that he was willing to ally himself with pirates if it served his own goals. As for him, if he shows up in Elbaf where Jaguar D. Saul is living with the giants. And if the Giants ally with Luffy then maybe he might be fighting along with the Straw Hats instead of against them in the end.

The joining of either Kizaru or Aokiji to the Straw Hat crew would bring immense change in the power balance. Their secret knowledge about the World Government could provide a crucial path to findingOne Piece. Their abilities – one light-based ability and another ice ability would increase the crew’s fighting strength.
Two admirals joining the pirate crew could raise questions about the Marine’s faith in justice and might shake up the World government. This may affect in aiding Luffy in attaining his ultimate goal of becoming the Pirate King.
