With so many rumors circulating on whetherThe Last of Us Part 2will release in 2019 or if it’ll be 2020, here’s another little tidbit to send your brain into another mini-meltdown, especially if you’re a big fan of the upcoming sequel by Naughty Dog.The Last of Us Part 2deserves every bit of hype it receives, even if most of them are indeed rumors, due to the unprecedented fact that we just can’t wait to get our hands on it!

A post on Reddit has added fuel to the already burning fire by posting a clip of the well knownThe Last of Uscomposer Gustavo Santaolalla while he took the stage in Kuwait to play out a few tunes to his captivated audience. Whether he meant to talk so openly about the title or not, he did state thatThe Last of Us Part 2would “be coming very soon” - of course, the crowd broke into a very loud cheer at this apparent news straight from the mouth of the composer.

Gustavo Santaolalla (The last of us soundtrack composer) just said that TLOU2 is coming very soon.fromr/thelastofus

Gustavo didn’t obviously indulge in a release date at all and we have to keep in mind that “coming soon” could just mean it’ll be in the next year or so, but I think we can all hope that he has the inside knowledge for it to mean, quite literally, soon being this year. I think the only time eager fans will really ever know, is when it comes from the mouth of Naughty Dog themselves.

Towards the end of last year, director Neil Druckmann took to Twitter to announce thatThe Last of Us Part 2’s “most complicated and heartwrenching scene"had been shot, but again not much more information was released curses Neil silently under my breath

Along with some details that the title willcontain character customizationand HBO’sWestworldwriter andThe Last Of Us Part 2‘s co-writerHalley Gross getting a character partin the sequel, we can only hold out in the hopes of getting some solid news from the horse’s mouth at some stage this year - as always, we will be right there reporting on it!
