True Ending Explained
Similar to the Chaos ending, players will encounter athree-phase boss fightwhen battling Ozma. Once completed, Ozma and Khazan will have thesame interaction as the Chaos ending, but it’s a bit different this time.
After Ozma says he’s sorry,a teardrop falls from his eyeand lands on the Transcendental Sword in Khazan’s hands. This causes Ozma to have one last final explosion as he yells out “I’ll bring this whole world to ruins!”
The rest of the ending plays out similarly to the Normal and Chaos endings, except there is a long list of notes in Ozma’s palace that players read before the credits.
These notes mention how an “eye” was the mastermind behind the game’s events, but we aren’t sure who the “eye” is referring to. Phantom mentions that if it wasn’t for the eye, Ozma wouldn’t have known about the power of Chaos and things may have been different.
Khazan doesn’t seem to care about this much, as he speaks out loud “I still have my revenge” as the credits roll.
