Before Joe Rogan was slinging conspiracy theories and making millions on his podcast, he was the fearless host ofFear Factor. Yes, the show that made you question humanity while watching contestants eat spiders, wrestle with snakes, and jump off buildings for a cash prize.

Joe Rogan, now known for his podcasting empire, originally gained fame as the host of Fear Factor.

Rogan was the face of the show from 2001 to 2006. He madeFear Factorlegendary, throwing challenges at contestants. But enter: the infamousFear Factorepisode involving animal t*sticles. Yes, there was a challenge where contestants were asked to chow down on some—how shall we put this—‘unconventional delicacies’.

In this case, it was a plate of animal t*sticles. A snack that’s not only disgusting but also deeply unsettling. The internet—being the internet—lost its mind, and complaints flooded in like a broken dam.

Ah,Joe Rogan. But there’s one very memorable episode that turned the heat up too high and leftFear Factorburned out.

The View Doesn’t Have Any Trans Women- Joe Rogan’s Insult to Whoopi Goldberg’s Show Looks Harmless When Compared to What His JRE Guest Said

In a 2019podcast episode, Rogan and comedian Tim Dillon reminisced about theFear Factordays, and the former was straight-up honest about why he couldn’t hang with it for much longer. He confessed

When I was on season five of Fear Factor, I remember thinking, ‘I don’t know how much longer I can do this’. It was the same thing over and over again. We did 148 episodes. After a while, it was like, ‘Jesus Christ, how many animal d*cks can you serve people?’

Despite the fame and big paychecks, Rogan admitted he grew tired of the repetitive nature of the show by its fifth season.

And let’s just say, things got weird. As the show went on, the stunts got more extreme, with contestants hanging from helicopters, bungee jumping over canyons, and doing things no sane person should ever do on national TV. “The show had to get more and more extreme, and it was very dangerous,”Rogan explained, adding:

It was freaking me out. They were taking a lot more crazy risks.

One of the most infamous moments of Fear Factor was the donkey episode, where contestants had to drink donkey s*men.

But the true nail in the coffin forFear Factorwas the infamous donkey episode. That’s right—contestants had to drink donkey s*men & urine as part of a game of horseshoes. And if you’re wondering how this bizarre stunt came to light, TMZ got their hands on some very gross photos before the episode aired.

“What happened was, the TMZ folks got a hold of the pictures of these people drinking c** early,”Rogan said. “And it became this giant fear.” It didn’t take long before the show was pulled off the air for good.

It was a lot of money, but at some point, I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is a mistake.’

Still, Rogan joked that if he were a contestant on the show, he would’ve done anything for a paycheck:

I would have eaten an animal d*ck. I would have let you throw puke in my face.

According toreports, he earned a total of $15 million during his time on the show. And here’s the kicker: Rogan knewFear Factorwas doomed from the start. He didn’t even try to sugarcoat it when he first met with NBC executives.

This is the most insane idea for a television show that I’ve ever heard, this is going to be canceled immediately.

Turns out, he was spot on. So, in the end, it was theFear Factorthat got canceled. But not before creating some of the most ridiculous, jaw-dropping, and definitely stomach-churning TV moments ever.
