Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are attracting a huge crowd in theaters withDeadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth keeps things as entertaining and R-rated as the previous two films. The opening sequence has been receiving appreciation as one of the best among the MCU films but fans have to admit that it was a bold attempt.

As *NSYNC’sBye Bye Byeplays in the background, Reynolds’ Deadpool fights off TVA agents with—wait for it—dead Logan’s bones! The film just threw the whole honoring Logan’s legacy right out of the window and went insane with the opening credits.
Ryan Reynolds’ Bold Attempt WithLoganStoryline Could’ve Went Horribly Wrong
One major question Marvel fans had in mind beforeDeadpool & Wolverinewas how the film would bring backHugh Jackmanwithout ruiningLogan. Fans find out at the beginning of the film that Jackman’s Logan from earlier films is very much dead.Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool digs him out of his grave in an attempt to bring him back to life, only to find his skeleton.

The character gives a fourth-wall-breaking monologue before digging out the body, sharing,“How are we going to do this without dishonoring Logan’s memory? We’re not.”The whole scene was super entertaining to watch in theaters, but it was definitely a bold attempt.

Tbh I liked how they just went there right off the bat. That took balls. I’m glad it worked out the way it did. The opening sequence was hilarious.

They went extra miles to assure Logan is fully dead lol I respect that
I didnt expect the snow section in the trailer to be logans grave💀 i thought it was the bit from the start of age of ultron

I honestly didn’t expect the Logan character to pop up in it at all, unless they brought that variant back to life. But no, they went fully with that combat scene; it was great, especially when Deadpool did the Wolverine stance with the claws; that was perfect.Total fan…
Agreed I laughed my ass off at Logan’s Skelton just being there it took guts

Deadpool & Wolverinewent on to set the record for thehighest box office opening for an R-rated film. According toTHR, the film made $205 at its domestic box office and $233 million internationally on its debut. According toDeadline‘s latest reports, the film has collected $590.5 million worldwide.

Reynolds jumped in and answered thatLoganwas a separate thing and that Jackman’s character died in the film. The actor promised fans thatDeadpool 3wouldn’t do anything to reverse Logan’s death in the film. Reynolds shared:
Logan takes place in 2029. Totally separate thing. Logan died in Logan, not touching that.
It appears that Reynolds kept his promise in the film but in a rather twisted way. However, the ‘worst-turned-best Wolverine’ was portrayed perfectly byThe Prestigeactor, which was the only thing fans cared about in the new film.
