Vampire Hunter Dis based in a post-nuclear holocaust world where the main character is a half-human, half-vampire.

Dastmalchian revealed:

There’s an extreme, there’s an extremity to emotion and action, and expression that almost reminds me of like Italian Comedia Del Art type of theater, and I don’t know, I feel like we need the live-action Vampire Hunter D starring David Dastmalchian. I’m just gonna put that up, or I don’t know what it is actually. I think it’s black, but I really do want to play Sebastian. I don’t know what studio would ever approve that.

The Japanese fantasy horror anime movie based on the light novel series would be a perfect opportunity forDastmalchian to star as a main characterin a live-action adaptation, as the actor has mostly followed such dark roles.
