It was all the way back in 2019 thatFortniteand Stranger Things teamed up for a much-anticipated collaboration. This collaboration brought Demogorgons and Chief Hopper into the familiar battle royale system.

Demogorgon and Hopper are one of the rarest skins in the game

For years, these two remained forgotten by the community, but the spark was reignited in 2023 when the two characters returned to the Item Shop, with an addition of the series’ main protagonist, Eleven. However, a recent leak suggests there might have been even more to Stranger Things than what players received, and it has sent fans into a frenzy.

Fortnite was almost turned Upside Down in the Stranger Things Collaboration

When theFortnite/Stranger Thingscrossover happened, the content was mild at best but still a success thanks to the popularity of the show. However, there was more behind the scenes that never reached the screens.Fortnitealmost had a Hawkins National Laboratory as a POI from Stranger Things added to the map.

The concept art of the laboratory building shared is just like the building from the supernatural TV series, with multiple stories, and several similar details, including big satellite dishes at the top.

Unfortunately, with the laboratory POI missing, the collaboration didn’t spark much interest as it only had a portal and the ice cream shop in Mega Mall that replicated the experience from the show.

With that said one fan on Twitter commented that is the reason why it is one of the most forgotten collabs.

Fortnite’s Potential Horror Collab Could Take Over the Game in August, and We’re Not Ready

Another fan supported the idea by simply saying that is what he hopes.

Moreover, another player went a step further and urged Epic Games to bring backStranger Thingsand proposed a list of additional fan-favorite characters, including Max, Steve, Dustin, Eddie, and Vecna, among others.

um@EpicGames@FortniteGamey’all BETTER bring this back for a collab for the last season of stranger things!!!! As well as new characters such as Max, Steve, Dustin, Mike, Will, Nancy, Vecna, Eddie & Lucas!!!#StrangerThings#fortnite#battleroyale

Fan comments echo in time, as one said that he wished the original collaboration was better than what they got.

Damn. I wished they would have released better skins from stranger things.

While the sentiment is strong, some aren’t impressed with the supernatural TV series and the possible collaboration, which can be seen in such a comment from a player who says that he doesn’t want anything from such a MID show.

The initial excitement behind Demogorgon and Chief Hopper and the inclusion of Eleven was a love letter to the franchise, but fans did feel like missing out on other content from the beloved series. Nevertheless, there is a huge chance for Epic Games to improve on the bitter taste and give fans another crossover. However, until that happens, fans can only hope and speculate.

What are your thoughts? Will Stranger Things return to battle royale? Let us know in the comments.
