Starfieldis a title that was supposed to be one of the biggest releases last year. It was the most ambitious title from Bethesda, its first new IP in 25 years, and was supposed to help Xbox regain relevance in the ninth console generation.

After a lukewarm reception, the upcomingShattered Spaceexpansion is a glimmer of hope for Bethesda and the title itself. An eagle-eyed player also noticed a minute detail that could be game-changing if proven accurate.
Starfield Hint Suggests the Game Potentially Taking a Leaf Out of Titanfall’s Book
Titanfallwas one of the most loved FPS series. It was considered revolutionary by critics and players alike. One of the key offerings of the series was the ability to control mech-style robots.

After the second entry in the series, however, any chances of a follow-up were eliminated by Respawn as itcanceled the third installment 10 months after it began production.
Now, aStarfieldplayer has put forth a theory that is just an idea waiting to be executed, per them, or something Bethesda has been saving for the future. The best part is it includes unused mechs and vehicles like the ones fromTitanfall:

Players also expressed that not having usable mechs because of a ‘treaty’ in the game’s lore was a significant buzzkill:
It is anyone’s guess what these unused mechs and vehicles were supposed to do when they were added to the game. They could be mere souvenirs adding to the game’s overall setting and feel or hinting at a future expansion.

Players Think That Mechs in Starfield Are a DLC Tease
Interestingly, the upcomingShattered SpaceDLC trailer features robots in the trailer. This could open pathways for the game’s second DLCs to have robots and, possibly, controllable mechs.
“When will this game become playable?”: Unfortunate Starfield ‘Fan’ Abandoned the Game Due to Bugs, Only to Return Months Later to Even worse Bugs
Fallout 4, another one of Bethesda’s games, had a DLC calledAutomatronthat added Robots. While it didn’t have mechs similar to Titans, Todd Howard could be planning for something similar withStarfield. This was highlighted by a player who commented on the post embedded above:
Todd Howard and his company need to devise a plan that makes players change their current notion about the space RPG.

The game currently has close to 4 thousand active players, and pumping those numbers up will be a mammoth task asone-quarter of the players at launch never made it past the tutorial section.
What do you think of this theory by the Redditor? Will the game add mechs and robots to future DLCs? Let us know in the comments below!
