Tears of the Kingdomis filled with surprises, and fans have been coupling that with their creativity to twist the game’s mechanics to the extremes. While the developers have some barriers set up throughout the world, and fans are coming up with ways to use them for their very own benefit. In one such instance, they have started almost surfing on lava falls.

In a new post on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, Redditor DoodDoes highlight how they managed to achieve the impossible, and moved across the lava falls without taking any damage whatsoever. The player starts off by gliding towards the lava falls, and then using their very own custom-made tool to achieve this, which very much resembles the Stormbreaker, to simply slide through the falls. At first glance, it looks pretty dangerous and cool at the same time, and the entire process looks like the player is just trying to use an Axe to get stuck in ice. One might not have imagined Link turning into Lara Croft, but here we are.

As far as building the tool itself goes, it features a unique characteristic of being a mix of a Giant Boomerang and Ice Keese Wing, making it the Soaring Boomerang. Ice Keese Wings can be found by defeating Ice Keese, which can be found in the colder regions of the map. The Giant Boomerang, on the other hand, is wielded by Silver Lizalfos, who can be found in a variety of regions on the map including the Gerudo Desert region and the Hyrule field. Once you have the two items, you may simply fuse them to make your Stormbreaker.

While this might not be as useful as the Zora armor which allows Link to go swim up a waterfall, it is something that is definitely quite fulfilling to pull off. That being said, the risk itself is making players quite anxious, as many have highlighted that the user pulling off this trick with just one heart definitely had the viewers on the edge of their seats. But then again, gamers are often going to take that plunge just to get a few flair points irrespective of however big the risk is.
