Square Enixhas released a new update (viaGematsu) forTactics Ogre: Rebornahead of its November 11 global launch, providing a ton of new information about classes, relics, and side stories that are expected to be separate from the main story. Apart from the main story path, the publisher revealed new challenge locations that players can visit to discover the sheer fun of battle.

First off, Square Enix released The Warren Report chronicles which contains information on battle statistics, allies, campaigns, and the story characters that players will meet along the way. Additionally, it includes event scenes and information about how to play the game in a tip format. After that, the development team dove into challenge locations that represent the game’s rewarding gameplay feature. Players will find locations aside from the main story path to accept challenges. If they win these challenges, new stages will appear on the map to branch their path.

Phorampa Wildhood, a vast forest filled with beasts, is the first to have been introduced as a challenge point, featuring enemies with classes that are unavailable in the early stage of the game. Players will unlock further challenges as they clear stages that appear on the map. Bear in mind that players will have a chance to withdraw and reenter after completing the location. The Pirate’s Graveyard and Palace of the Dead are the other two challenge locations, where players can claim spells and items by taking down enemies.

There will also be new relics that players can use in shops to upgrade their item stats, such as element and resistance. Relics are different properties from standard equipment and can only be found in certain dungeons, making them valuable for creating powerful items. All relics have their own stats, and sometimes players will find relics with the same name that have different stats. As for side stories, players can explore new dungeons and follow new stories after completing the main story, meaning finishing the game is just the beginning of a new adventure with new characters and locations.

Last but not least, Tactics Ogre: Reborn introduces new enemy classes: Skeleton, Ghost, Lich, Golem, Dragon, and Gryphon, each having their advantage against players. Gryphons are magical beasts with high resistance as skeletons are able to use a wide array of weapons. Ghosts use necromancy, while lichs wield magic to dole out high damage. Golems, on the other hand, serve as the guardian with more health and magic resistance, while dragons use their tails and breath.

Tactical Ogre: Reborn is only three days away from its launch, as the turn-based RPG will release forPlayStation4, PlayStation 5,Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 11th.
