Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas had a rocky road from development through release. From its “weak” response onOpenCritictofan backlash during its first season, most gamers have not been happy with the game’s state. Its development was notorious, too, lasting over seven years. Trouble may have been brewing as early as 2022 when two ofRocksteady’s co-founders left the company.

2025 brings an end to continued support for the failed live service game. The team at Rocksteady will no longer update the looter shooter after thelaunch of Season 4, which will include anoffline mode. Rocksteady will also ensure that all content players have earned, including items purchased in-game, will be available in offline mode.
