Mining isn’t a particularly exciting activity in most video games, butStarfieldis a bit of an exception. Instead of the traditional pickaxes used by games likeSkyrim, Starfield offers mining lasers that can cut down mineral deposits in a matter of seconds. Even better, resources are collected automatically, so there’s no need to worry about having to pick them up manually.

Silver isn’t quite as important as other resources, such asTitaniumorCopper, for example, but you’ll still want to gather at least a bit of it because you’ll need it to craftZero Wire. Silver is also required forresearch projectslikePower Generation 1. Keep reading to find out where to get Silver in Starfield.
Where To Mine Silver
Even though you can sometimes find Silver on corpses or inside containers while exploringStarfield’s many planets, it’s always better to mine it yourself using the laser Cutter. You can scan planets from orbit and hover over the chemical symbols to find out what sort of resources they containwithout needing to land. In the case of Silver, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the chemical symbolAg, which comes from the Latin word ‘Argentum’.
Once you’ve found a planet that contains Silver deposits, you’ll need to explore it on foot anduse the surface scanner to pinpoint their location. After you manage you track down a deposit, simplywhip out your trusty laser Cutter and start mining. You won’t get a ton of resources from a single deposit, so make sure to fill up your bags while you have the chance.

Coincidentally, you can find a fair amount of Silver onKreet, one of the very first moons you’ll land on. If you’re already further into the game and don’t feel like backtracking, don’t worry because you can also find Silver on dozens of other moons and planets. Check out the list below for some notable examples orgo here for the full list.

Where To Buy Silver
Silver is considered an uncommon resource, so you shouldn’t have too many issues finding some of it at vendors if you don’t feel like mining. But don’t expect every single vendor to keep it in stock. Available quantities may be quite limited, but check back often because vendors restock resources at regular intervals.
One of the first vendors you’ll come across who sells Silver isWen Tseng. She can be found at the UC Distribution ofNew Atlantison the planet Jemison, Alpha Centauri System. If you need more Silver, you should also check in withDietrich Siegharton Neon, a location found on the planet Volii Alpha, Volii System. Those two are just a couple of examples but there are plenty of other vendors in Starfield that sell Silver, so just keep your eyes peeled as you’re bound to run into them sooner or later.
