While many of the hundreds of planets inStarfieldare procedurally generated, there are many that have uniquely crafted locations that tie more into the game and its overall lore. Long before the events of the game was the Colony War, which ravaged many systems in the galaxy.
The Colony War was fought between the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective, with the planet Niira being a major battleground. While mechs aren’t present in the game, they were very present during the Colony War and are now nothing more than destroyed husks being salvaged by scrappers.

Where To Find 1-Of-A-Kind Salvage
1-Of-A-Kind Salvage is located in the Narion system,which is right on top of the Valo system, which are bothup and to the left of the Alpha Centauri system.The Narion system is owned and patrolled by theFreestar Collective. The salvage yard islocated on the planet Niira,which has arecommended level of 1.On the planet,1-Of-A-Kind Salvage is a landmark that can be landed at,with the player’s ship landing right on the edge of the facility.

What Is 1-Of-A-Kind Salvage
Niira was amajor battlefield during the Colony War that decimated the entire planetand destroyed its ecosystem. Now mostly a ravaged desert, the planet is alsofull of old and destroyed mechs or bio-engineered aliens bred and released for war.Now, this Salvage yard was set up by a group of scrappers who are breaking down the old mechs for salvage, which can bebought from Gel in the main airlock off to the right side of the facility.
What Else Is On Niira
Niira is now an overall hostile planet, withboth xenoweapon creatures and hostile scrappers populating the planet.For those venturing out into the hostile world, there arefour Fauna, two Flora, and three traits to try and scan.The planet also has eightresources to be mined:Argon, Chlorine, Copper, Water, Benzene, Nickel, Ionic Liquids, and Fluorine.
