At any major city, there will be a Ship Service Technician who will be able to modify the player’s ships they’d like as long as it passes the flight check menu. While the process may be just a little tedious, players are able to completely paint their own created ships or the many premade ones to be found throughout the galaxy; here’s how to do it.
How To Paint Your Ship
Ships can be painted in the modify ship menu. Head toanymajor citythat has a starport and look for a Ship Service Technician.Talking to the technician, select"I’d like to view and modify my ships,“which will open up the ships menu and display the current home ship.Any owned ship can be modified,even if it isn’t the main one being flown at the moment, byselecting the ‘Ship Builder” option in the bottom right.
In this menu,select which part of the ship you’d like to paintto see a few different optionsalong the bottom of the screen, one of which is “Paint.“From here,each part will need to be selected and painted to make the entire ship one color,or this method can be used to get extra creative and use various colors on different sections.

Hue And Saturation
In the painting menu, there will be a few options along the top right of the screen:Colors 1,2,3, Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and Recent.Each of the color options covers a different section of the selected part, while theHue determines the actual color of each section.TheSaturation will then determine how clear that color isover the ship’s regular color and will need to be pulled to the max to be very visible and fully paint the ship one color.
Both theHue and Saturation must be decided and adjustedto the right option to make the ship look how the player wants, withbrightness also affecting the general shade of the selected color.For those wanting to paint theentire shipa set color, theRecent option can be used to speed up the process.
