Earlier this week,Bethesdareleased a brand-new update forStarfield. The patch was made available in Steam Beta a few weeks ago, but is now available for all supported platforms. With a plethora of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and new features, fans have plenty to praise Bethesda for with its latest patch.
While some ofStarfield’s previous updates have been rather lacklustre, patch 1.10.31 has so many improvements and fixes that it’stempting me to give it another shot. But players who have stuck with the controversial space RPG since its launch last year are now praising Bethesda for some vital improvements.

Starfield Players Say New Update Made Ship Power Allocations “Worse Not Better”
The latest update was supposed to address an issue with ship power allocations, but players believe it’s even worse.
The Starfield community is often like a yo-yo, sometimesthey’ll praise the ground that Bethesda walks on, and other timesthey’ll complain about the most minute problems. Today, on ‘is the Starfield community angry or happy’, players show their appreciation for a vital quality-of-life improvement that was made to Outposts in the latest update.

Outpost Builders, Rejoice!
In the 1.10.31 patch notes, Bethesda details numerous improvements and fixes to Outpost building (12, to be exact). Alongside a plethora of fixes, the update “tweaked the snap distance for storage containers” and “improved visible line for moving around objects for link.”
That second change is being heavily praised by fans, asReddit user EastWild0 calls ita “massive improvement.” The user’s post has garnered almost 800 upvotes at the time of writing this article, with many other players agreeing that this small but vital change is incredibly welcomed.

“The improvement is just MASSIVE. I do a lot of outposts, and now, at a glance, I can see where to connect my cables, where my resources are being transferred, which container they’re in or where there’s a lack of energy, etc… On large outposts, it’s suddenly become 100 times less tedious,” Reddit user EastWild0 said.
If you need a visual representation to see how the new links appear in-game, EastWild0 also provided a handy screenshot, which we’ve included below.

Fellow Starfield players believe the colour coding doesn’t just look better, but is also incredibly helpful. “Small baby steps making this good game even better,“Reddit user Hawks1stPickin2019 said.
