8UC Naval Cutlass

If you are looking to scour the starsas a member of the Crimson FleetPirates, the UC Naval Cutlass is the melee weapon for you. The futuristic cutlass is perfect for fighting through the tight corridors of an enemy ship and is relatively easy to find.

7Barrow Knife

One step up from the UC Combat Knife is the Barrow Knife. At this point in your mission to collect the best weaponry in Starfield as fast as possible,it is important to note that certain weapons will only spawn when you reach a certain level.

That being said, if you’re able to’t find a Barrow Knife atShephard’s General Store or the UC Distribution Center, you may need to level your character a bit before coming back and checking again. The Barrow Knife has abase damage of 22and a mass of 0.34

6Osmium Dagger

The Osmium Dagger is a reliable melee weaponfavored by House Va’ruun. While exploring the Serpentis Star System and trying to figure out why a religious faction would have a favorite melee weapon, you will likely stumble upon an Osmium Dagger and add it to your inventory.

The Osmium Dagger hasa base damage of 28and a mass of 2.7, making it one of the heaviest melee weapons in the game. The best place to find the dagger is byhijacking and looting a Va’ruun ship, as they are rarely stocked in any of Starfield’s general stores.

The Tanto is a powerful short bladed melee weapon that can be found in most of the weapon shops scattered throughout the settled systems.Centurion Arsenal, Neon Tactical, Rowland’s Arms, Shephard’s General Store, and any of the United Colonies weapon depots will sell the Tantoonce you reach the appropriate level.

Witha base damage of 40and a mass of 0.45, the Tanto is a reliable weapon that won’t weigh you down while it sits in your inventory.

4Wakizashi

Becoming a space pirate is easy in Starfield. The UC Naval Cutlass pairs with pretty much any of the guns in the game to make you feel like a bonafide member of the Crimson Fleet before you ever officially join their ranks.

Becoming a space ronin is something else entirely. The Wakizashi Kitana, which hits for a whopping49 damageand weighs 1.35, is one of the hardest melee weapons to track down. Fortunately, it can bebought at the UC Exchange in Cydonia andRowland Arms in Akila City.

3Syndicate Enforcer

The Syndicate Enforcer hasa base damage of 49and a weight of 1.35, putting it on par with the Wakizashi Kitana. The two weapons even look similar, with their reach and attack patterns being almost identical.

What puts the Enforcer above the Kitana is its two Epic Effects and the way it scales with your characters level. To find the Syndicate Enforcer, you will have to loot a specific weapon crate insidethe Seokguh Syndicate in Neon Cityduringthe Guilty Parties sidequest.

2Va’ruun Painblade

House Va’ruun’s bloody history may not do much to help their reputation, but it can be exploited by the modern explorer with an appreciation for pointy weaponry. The Va’ruun Painblade is one of the many weapons crafted by the men and women who took part in the Serpent’s Crusade, and it should not be underestimated.

Without any special effects, the Painblade hasa base damage of 62and a weight of 1.80. To find this weapon, you’ll have to complete the “Rook Meets Queen” quest to unlock Zuri’s Essentials inside The Key.

1The Last Priest

The pinnacle of bladed melee weapons in Starfield is The Last Priest. As a variation of the Va’ruun Painblade, The Last Priest was forged with the religious fervor of a faction that was willing to slaughter millions during the Serpent’s Crusade.

The Last Priest hasa base damage of 62,a weight of 1.8, and an elemental buff that will randomly deal elemental damage to your enemies. To add this powerful melee weapon to you inventory you have to complete the Infinity’s End quest by killing the Keeper or convincing the Hunter that the Keeper is dead.
