In the last episode ofStar Wars: Skeleton Crew, we saw Fern, KB, Neel, and Wim escape Jod after he challenged Fern to a duel, which was enforced by SM-33 (Nick Frost). Nawood is caught by Captain Brutus, who doesn’t send Jod out of the airlock because he tells him that At Attin is real. The crew, however, saved themselves and the Onyx Cinder from being eaten by a trash compactor robot.

As we pick up in the penultimate episode titled “We’re Gonna Be In So Much Trouble,” we wonder if the kids will be alright. That is when Wim’s father, Wendle (Tunde Adebimpe), takes matters into his own hands. He is caught by the At Attin droids trying to hack into the system. Wendle is taken to Fern’s mother, Fara (Kerry Condon). She has finally had enough, as “The Supervisor” still has not granted an exception.

Disney+’sStar Wars: Skeleton Crew’sSeason 1 Episode 7: How Does Fara Try and Save the Lost Children?
Fara, Wendle, and the parents of Neel and KB set out for the forest. They intend to send a communications droid into space. The issue is that At Attin has a protective barrier that prevents anything from leaving. However, we now know this is likely what is keeping the planet safely hidden from outside threats.
In an exciting scene, the group works together, outrunning and maneuvering the droids. They continue to hand off the communication buoy, with most being stunned and left stunned, except for Fara. The At Attin politician manages to hide behind a boulder and send the droid off into the great void known as space. At least they give their children a chance, but at what cost?

How Does the Onyx Cinder (Inadvertantly) Save Jod?
When Jod, Captain Brutus, and the rest of his merry men arrive near At Attin, they find an impenetrable field of toxic gas they cannot bypass. It’s unclear if Jod knows or is just trying to save himself, but he claims this is just a ruse to prevent anyone from looking for At Attin beyond this point. Brutus sends an exploratory ship, which meets an ominous fate. Brutus is about to send Jod (Jude Law) out of the airlock again when the Onyx Cinder jumps out of hyperdrive and into their view.
Jod saves himself again by telling Brutus it must pass since the big OC once came from At Attin. They then pull the ship onto their ship with what must be a tractor beam. Brutus and his men force their way onto the frigate, commandeering it. A short time later, the message from the communication droid comes in, with the parents begging their children to come home.

Disney+’sStar Wars: Skeleton Crew’sSeason 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained: How Do the Kids Get Back to AT Attin?
Star Wars: Skeleton Crewends with SM-33 telling Jod he broke the pirate code by trying to be the captain of the Onyx Cinder and the Brutus frigate. SM-33 takes control of the ship, gives it back to Fern, and helps them leave, flying into At Attin’s toxic defense system. However, they do not realize Jod is still on the ship. When SM-33 turns around, he pulls out his lightsaber and decapitates our favorite droid with a Cockney accent.
Nawood forces the kids to land and tell the security that he is a royal representative. The Supervisor denies allowing Jod to communicate with the frigate outside the electrified toxic defense. He can enter a vault with thousands upon thousands of gold credits. I swear, you almost see the filthy pirate’s eyes well up.

While he does, the kids run into their parents’ arms to celebrate their reunion. However, that’s when we hear the famous sound of a lightsaber being activated as Jod Na Nawood draws his weapon right before the credits begin.
