The slow movement and fast pace of Space Escape can make it one of themost challenging Side StoriesinSplit Fiction.

Luckily, DualShockers has scoped it out and created a guide to help players survive this interstellar adventure.
Split Fiction Space Escape - Inside The Ship
Space Escape starts inside a station. Instantly, you’ll notice Mio and Zoe’s jumping mechanics have changed to match the low gravity, though you’ll still have access to your air dash and your grappling point.
Spend a little time getting used to the new jumping, especially the slow falling speed, as it’s an important part of this stage.

Once you’re used to the controls, continue to the next area, which has floating platforms. The extra range of your jump will allow you to reach them easily.
Head to the red beam, and a grapple prompt will appear, throwing you into a new area.

In the next area, there are circling platforms in two segments.Wait for them to be horizontal, which will give you plenty of time to pass without falling into the abyss.
Once past the platforms, both players will need to activate the two space suits. They’ll don them, and continuing to the next area will open the airlock, leading to the outside of the ship.

Split Fiction Space Escape - Outside The Ship
Now that you’re outside the ship, head to the small vessel sitting at the top right of the dock.
Whenplayers operate the door, they’ll be given a puzzle.
To complete each part of the lock, they’ll need to make the shape in the center of the screen by combining shapes on either side.
For the first puzzle, Mio (on the left) needs a triangle, while Zoe (on the right) needs a circle.
When you start to complete the second puzzle, an asteroid will crash into the station, throwing the protagonists into space.
In this section, each character will have a limited supply of oxygen that diminishes over time.
Grapple points will appear on yellow machinery around the map. Bear in mind that, due to gravity, you’ll be propelled in a straight line.
The grapple points in this section are similar to lining up a shot in pool. Don’t just hit the button willy-nilly: make sure you’re aiming at the place you want to go before grappling.
Keep grappling forward and avoid hitting the green pillars of energy, asthey’ll instakill you if you touch them.
Eventually, both players will need to both attach themselves to an oxygen tank, which will be differentiated by asking for players to use the R2/RT key when they approach.
Naturally, the oxygen tankhas its own puzzle. It’s a simple timing puzzle, where Mio needs to press the button when the arrow is in the center of the purple sections, while Zoe does the same in the green sections. If completed successfully, Mio and Zoe’s oxygen will be refilled.
10 Best Cozy Puzzle Games
Puzzles can be a real mental workout, but not all puzzle games need to be stressful!
In the next section, grappling becomes even more important, as players need to slingshot themselves through barriers. Just ensurenot to hit the orange walls, as they’ll also instakill you.
Once past the laser barriers, just keep lining up your shots and throwing yourself forward until you reach the next oxygen tank. When that puzzle is finished, the shuttle will appear.
Both players need to grapple it to complete the match-up puzzle from earlier.
For the second part of the puzzle, Mio needs to make a twig shape, while Zoe makes a boomerang/letter C, as seen in the image.
For the third part of the puzzle, Mio needs the ball on top and the top right-hand part of the line, while Zoe needs the ball on the bottom right and the bottom left part of the line.
For the fourth and final part of the puzzle, Mio needs the triangle, while Zoe needs the circle with the line going horizontally along the bottom side.
Congratulations! You have completed the tricky Space Escape Side Story inSplit Fiction. You can breathe freely without the need for oxygen refills.
