Spider-Man 2will have players jumping between both Miles and Peter in major missions while also playing as both Spider-Men while exploring the massive city of New York. While many story missions are set for who players will be playing, the open world will let players jump between the two Spider-Men.

While there are a few limitations on when players can switch between the two characters, this change happens incredibly quickly and, in seconds, will have you controlling the other Spider-Man in a different area of the city.

How To Switch Between Peter & Miles
The beginning of the game, like many story missions, has itset for who players will control at a time,experiencing the major moments for each character in the story. After defeating Sandman, theSpider-Men will help the people of New York and will have players jumping between the twoto complete a few requests.
To switch,open up the app by swiping to the left on the touchpadof the controller. This will open up the requests app, and along thebottom of the menu will be the ability to switch to the other Spider-Manby holding square.As other main missions and requests are unlocked, thehead icon of eachSpider-Manwill appear next to the request, indicating if a specific character will need to complete the missionor if it’s up to the player.

When Can’t You Switch
Spider-Man 2 tells a combined story of both Miles and Peter as new enemies come to the city, but there are also a lot of personal stories to be told for each character.Many main missions can only be completed as one specific Spider-Man,while some main missions will have youswitching back and forth when the game dictates.These sectionscannot be changed and will need to be completed to return to the open world and switch.
While exploring the open world, players can switch between the two as long as they arenot currently in combat or engaging in an activity.Should you be handling a crime or one ofMarko’s memories, youwon’t be able to switch after beginning the activity.After an activity is finished or combat is complete, theability to switch will immediately become available again.
