Spider-Man 4is reportedly being developed under Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. The fourth installment of the Spidey flickwas axed earlier when Raimi pulled out of the film.

He didn’t want a round two of theSpider-Man 3mess. But now, Sony is more inclined to create a sequel toNo Way Home 2rather than makingThe Amazing Spider-Man 3with Andrew Garfield.
It means Sony may consider bringing back all three Spider-Man actors (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland) for another team-up movie, which could possibly beSpider-Man 4.

But the catch is, while Sony wants it to be huge with all three Spideys,Kevin Feige wants the movie to be more grounded.

Marvel and Sony Clash Over Tone for the NextSpider-ManMovie
The rumor has it that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are having a little tiff over the vibe of the nextSpider-Manflick. As per reports by DanielRPK (viaThe Hollywood Handle), both the Marvel boss,Kevin Feige, and the star himself,Tom Holland, seem to fancy a more down-to-earth taleafter the multiverse shenanigan ofSpider-Man: No Way Home.
But Sony Pictures itself wants to take the opposite approach and aspires to bring back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for a more extensive multiverse spectacle. If the rumor of the fourth installment is correct, then it would continue the narrative fromNo Way Home 2and might feel like a sequel to it.

Let Raimi & Maguire finish up their saga with “Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4”.
Then let Webb & Garfield finish up their saga with “Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man 3”.
No Way Home basically gave them an excuse to go back to them without disrupting the current version’s continuity…

@SonyPicturesis what’s wrong with the CBM world right now. While everyone wants quality stories, they want to continue to milk nostalgia and/or just push content at us. This is the perfect time to ground Tom’s Spider-Man, and yet they’d rather push this in addition to a universe…

i don’t know i mean it’s cool they teamed up for No Way Home but I say maybe save it for Secret Wars or something cause the 4th movie should at least get some street level story for Tom Holland’s Spidey

Why Does Sony Prefer theNo Way HomeSequel OverAmazing Spider-Man 3?
There is a reason why Sony prefers to bring backTobey Maguire,Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland for another collaborative film rather than fulfilling fans’ requests forThe Amazing Spider-Man 3.
It seems that Sony is hesitant to produceThe Amazing Spider-Man 3because they don’t anticipate it being financially successful.
They may be concerned about oversaturating the market with two activeSpider-Manfilm franchises and the Venom/Morbius/Kraven universe in the mix.
In chronological order,Spider-Man: No Way Homeis the lastSpider-Manfilm, uniting all three versions of Spider-Man in a team-up movie. The storyline revolves around a wish made by the MCU’s Peter Parker to erase people’s memories of him being Spider-Man.
