In the same podcast, he also mentioned his venture CostPlusDrugs.com, and how in this he would offer both generic and branded drugs at a much lower cost. Cuban achieves this by buying directly from the manufacturer and posting the prices he pays, with a small markup to cover operating costs.
As a result of this, customers can now buy medications like insulin or chemotherapy drugs for a fraction of what they would typically pay.
