Taki was arrested for alleged use and possession of cocaine. In Japan, this is a major crime and sales ofJudgmentwerehaltedas SEGA took copies off the shelf toreplaceTaki’s face and voice. His voice was also patched out ofKingdom Hearts 3.After the arrest, many fans were wondering if this would push back the Western release date (Judgmentreleased on June 12, 2025, in Japan). The studio quicklyconfirmedthat this would not be the case and the game is still coming out as scheduled on June 25.

Judgmentis a spin-off of the popularYakuzaseries. LikeYakuza,it is an action-adventure game. However, in this game, you are playing on the other side of the law. You play as private detective Takuya Kimura as he investigates a serial murder case. Kimura doesn’t have to solve everything with his fists; he is a P.I. after all.Judgmentgives you plenty of opportunities to use more than just your brawling to get to the bottom of the case. You’ll need to use all the tricks in the book to catch the perpetrators. Interrogation, tailing suspects, donning disguises, and many other things will all be available actions to help you solve the mystery.

Judgmentwill be out on June 23, 2025, exclusively for the PS4.It can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.
