Avengers: Secret Warsis the upcoming Avengers movie which will mark the end of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Having already introduced Tobey Maguire inSpider-Man: No Way Home,the actor is now a part of the MCU.
A wild theory aboutSecret Warsstates that Maguire’s bad side of Peter Parker aka Bully Maguire (seen inSpider-Man 3) will return in the MCU. With rumors that Bully Maguire will lead the Avengers, the theory states that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will be the one reuniting with Venom and donning the black suit of Spider-Man again!
Bully Maguire Can Lead The Avengers InAvengers: Secret Wars!
This theory is as wild as it is exciting. At the end ofSpider-Man: No Way Home,we see Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock during the post-credit scenes. Getting teleported from the place, a small part of the symbiote is left behind on the countertop on Earth-616 (where they all were duringNo Way Home).
With the rumor that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man will lead the Avengers inAvengers: Secret Wars(considering he’s the eldest), this theory states that it won’t be Tobey Maguire who does the job… it would be Bully Maguire. In 1984, the comics depicted Peter Parker in a black suit. The comic was a part ofSecret Wars#8and was the origin story of the symbiote later referred to as Venom.

A theory states that although Bully Maguire has dealt with Venom once inSpider-Man 3,the character will have to do something about his powers to match up to other Avengers. Rumor has it thatTobey Maguire’sPeter Parker will be attacked by the symbiote once again and his powers will enhance as usual. However, since the powers affect him emotionally, we might see the return of Bully Maguire. The symbiote will indeed grant Maguire’s character enhanced powers which would give him the ability to take a more powerful charge against the villain/s.
The theory further continues that with Bully Maguire leading the Avengers, there may be mishaps in judgment and that’s when Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield will arrive to save the day! Fighting against Eddie Brock and Bully Maguire, it would be left for the Amazing Spider-Man and well, Spider-Man to deal with Maguire’s Spider-Man.

After his reprisal as Spider-Man inSpider-Man: No Way Home,Tobey Maguire was surrounded by the media upon his return. With rumors and hopes that the actor might one day return to the MCU (and more importantly, toAvengers: Secret Wars), the actor revealed in an interview (viaMarvel) that he would love to return to the movies!
“I love these films and I love all of the different series. If these guys called me and said, “Would you show up tonight to hang out and goof around?” or “Would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?”, it would be a “yes!” Because why wouldn’t I want to do that?”
The statement does give the people more hope about Maguire’s return to the MCU. As far as the theory is concerned, it still remains a theory (for now). The world does hope that they get to see Bully Maguire once again on the big screens but only time will tell whether the MCU is ready for Tobey Maguire again!
