A brand new hotfix update forSea of Thieveswill be arriving today (October 20) in order to fix a few bugs. Unfortunately, today’s update means theSea of Thievesservers will be down for a short period of time.
Although today’s update won’t include any new content for players to jump into, there will be plenty of bug fixes which many will be curious about. So, here’s everything you need to know about the October 20Sea of Thievesupdate, including the server maintenance schedule.
Sea of ThievesServer Maintenance Schedule (October 20)
According to the officialSea of ThievesTwitteraccount, the games' servers will be down at 2AM PT / 5AM ET / 10AM BST. This downtime is to prepare the servers for the release of the latest hotfix patch and means players will be unable to login whilst maintenance commences.
Unfortunately, an exact time for when the servers will be back online wasn’t detailed by the developers. However, based on the release of previous updates, we expect theSea of Thievesservers to be offline for around an hour.
Once downtime has been completed, players will be prompted to download a new update before they can jump back in.
It was also noted by the developers that Xbox users may have received the patch a little earlier than intended, but you will still be unable to log in and play until server maintenance has been completed.
