Bruce Timm A Debunked Kevin Conroy Update
AsIGNfirst reported, legendary voiceover actorKevin Conroywasexpected to appear in two upcoming DC animated projects. However, fans were far from rejoicing it. With the recent report, there was a glimmer of hope for fans to witness the actor one last time. However, it was soon shattered. Debunking the rumor onAnimeSuperhero.com Forum,Bruce Timmrevealed that Conroy’s rumor of him appearing inBatman: Caped Crusaderis not true.

“Kevin Conroy did not record a voice for Caped Crusader. We were hoping to have him do a voice for the new show (and he was eager to do it) but sadly he passed away before we could make it happen. As I have to do every so often, I will remind you all once again to take all un-sourced ‘news’ items in the sci-fi/comics/entertainment cybersphere with a huge grain of salt. Occasionally these ‘leaks‘ actually turn out to be true, but often as not they’re just cynical clickbait.”
Of course, he was expected to record his voice for Batman one last time, but his untimely demise has altered all the plans. Conroy was diagnosed with intestinal cancer andpassed awayon July 28, 2025, when he was 66.

Fans were not happy with the unceremonious conclusion of the career and legacy of Conroy asSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguemarked his final voice for a character.
One of the two Conroy updates got the official confirmation, but the other is still on the card. Timm was not aware of Conroy’s voicing in theInfinite Earthstrilogy.“I have no idea if the Crisis part of IGN’s supposed scoop is true or not,”he said at the forum.

The outlet further confirmed that Conroy will indeed play Batman in theCrisis on Infinite Earthstrilogy fromBatman: The Animated Series. While the first part of the series directed by Jeff Wamester has already been released it would be exciting to witness the remaining parts, or especially, Conroy voicing for Batman in the third part if the news is true. Also, it would be something for fans to rejoice and celebrate the legacy of the actor and his long tenure as the voice behind Batman.
