Last week, really great “realistic” renditions of theStar Foxcast was making its way around the internet. Well, it looks like theRogue One: A Star Wars Storywriter saw them, and expressed some interest in making a film based on that artwork. On Twitter (viaGameRevolution), writerGary Whitta(Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,Book of Eli) quote tweeted theStar FoxartworkGod of WarArt Director, Raf Grassetti, posted last week simply stating, “I want to write this animated movie.” Grassetti replied back with a gif of John Belushi from Animal House with the caption, “Let’s do it!!!”

Now, this is all just for fun. There isn’t aStar Foxanimated movie being made. Heck, there isn’t even aStar Foxvideo game in development (at least, that we know of). But could you imagine a story written by Gary Whitta and these versions of the characters in an epic animated space opera? I certainly can, and if my imagination isn’t deceiving me, it would be glorious.

When we posted that initial post about Grasetti’s interpretation of theStar Foxcharacters, only Fox McCloud was revealed. Now, there is a full-fledged poster featuring the Star Fox team (Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy), with Wolf O’Donnell (a.k.a. Star Wolf) looking menacing in the back. It looks incredible, and would be absolutely gorgeous if it could be turned into an animated feature.

The lastStar Foxgame to release wasStar Fox 2for the SNES Classic (that is such a weird sentence). It was slated to launch on the SNES for 1995. However, with advancements in 3D technology and Nintendo 64’s upcoming launch, they canceled the project. If you have playedStar Fox 2, you’ll notice many of its new features were implemented into Nintendo 64’sStar Fox 64. This includes different vehicles, and all-range mode. If you don’t have the SNES Classic, it was recently added to the Switch’s library of SNES games.
