Arthur Morgan is without a doubt one of the most prolific videogames protagonists and the impact his story had on fans in Rockstar Games’Red Dead Redemption 2will likely never fade. Not only is the Red Dead community still finding wholesome Easter eggs six years on from the sequel’s release, but creative fans are also sharing projects based on the character, includinga short filmset to the music of Led Zeppelin.

Arthur’s actor, Roger Clark, recently presented the Future Games Show withFinal Fantasy 7 Remake’sBritt Baron at this year’s Summer Game Fest, and he’s also been in the spotlight on social media after sharing a comical post airing his reasons for not making Cameo videos as the Van der Linde gang member.

Roger Clark Shuts Down Cameo Videos As Arthur Morgan

Clark delivered a short and sweet post on X addressing the popular video platform Cameo, which is well known in this generation for hosting a long list of celebrities from all corners of pop culture who can record personalized videos for fans at a price. Customers can request a quote or message for the actor to record as themselves or one of their previously played characters.

In a comical tone playing into the slang of today’s culture, Clark said, “I’m not doing brain rot on cameo as Arthur, sorry. I feel that would make the character skibidi, no cap. It’s giving anti-sigma.” The post is currently sitting with 3.8 million views, 89 thousand likes, and over 400 comments.

The response prompted Clark to post a follow-up comment, saying “I can’t believe this is my most liked tweet ever,” after being inundated with support for his stance and the humor injected into it. The official X account for Cameo even replied, saying “I don’t understand, but I know I’m involved.”

Most of the comments on Clark’s original post turned the actor’s quote into a meme, with some requesting Clark make a one-off Cameo video as Arthur speaking the actor’s post because it became so iconic. Respect quickly flooded in and most spectators chose to read the post in Arthur’s voice anyway for their own amusement.

For older generations that may not be down with the cool kids, “skibidi” is a slang term used to initiate a conversation that is specifically filled with “brain rot” or some sort of silly interaction, and the actor didn’t want Arthur to be associated with ridiculous requests. Clark’s other term, “no cap” is another slang phrase for “no lie” proving the preceding statement to be true, and “sigma” is a masculinist term for a successful, independent, or self-reliant man.
