Sony Interactive Entertainment has deployed a brand new System Software Update for the PS5 today (June 9). Unfortunately, there’s not much to get excited about.

A new DualSense Controller update was also released alongside the System Software update, but no official patch notes for the controller update have been released. Should any become available, we will update this article.

PS5 System Software Update (June 9)

The latest System Software update for the PS5 now brings the console version to 21.01-03.20.00. Unlike the previous version of the System Software, this one doesn’t bring any exciting changes.

The update was released on June 9 and should automatically begin to download the next time you boot up your console. Should you have any issues with updating your PS5 console, head to theofficial System Software section of the PlayStation websitefor more details.

The patch notes for this update have been taken directly from our own PlayStation 5, and simply state that the update is to improve system performance.

The latest System Software Update for the PS5 comes in just shy of 1GB, players can download the update now at a total of902.3MB.
