Pokemon Scarlet And Violet DLC Corphish Habitat

It’s a fun addition for players still shy of a Water-type, and it has an evolution that adds Dark to the mix as well. Corphish only has a few locations where you’ll need to find to nab one for yourself. There’s even a perfect spot for players who only just started the DLC.

Taking a look at the Paldean Pokedex, Corphish is spread around the following areas:Kitakami Road, Mossui Town, Mossfell Confluence, and Fellhorn Gorge. The description will also state that Corphish livesin and around ponds and rivers. This is true, as you’ll find plenty of Corphish both on the shore and swimming around in the water. However, you should just stick with Kitakami Road.

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet DLC Corphish Is Evolving

The road leading up to town is surrounded byrice paddies, fields of rice in water. There are Pokemon in these fields, and in particular, you will find plenty of Corphish. If you start this DLC in the post-game, you’re also guaranteed these Corphish will be high level, which will help you gain its evolution without any worry of putting in extra time.

Evolving Corphish

As stated, even the Corphish located at the very start of the DLC’s map can be caught at an incredibly high level. Higher than level 50. This will make evolving your Corphish child’s play, asCorphish is a level-based evolution and gains the chance to evolve once it reaches level 30.So, it’s more than likely that you’ll start with a Corphish that’s already past the level cap you need for it to evolve into a Crawdaunt.

Wild Crawdaunt

You may find yourself wanting to skip Corphish for a wild Crawdaunt instead. If that’s the case, there’sonly one area where you may find Crawdaunt in the wild: the waters of Fellhorn Gorge.

Just like with Corphish, the Pokedex will mention that Crawdaunt livesin and around ponds and rivers. This seems to be less true for Crawdaunt than it was for Corphish. This is likely just because Crawdaunt is a rarer spawn than Corphish, but not rare enough to be a special spawn.

Just headinto the waterand swim around until Crawdaunt starts spawning. You’ll probably only get one at a time, so remember to useLet’s Goand auto-battle to help thin the herd and force extra spawns.

Unfortunately, there’s not much else in terms of strategy or advice for catching wild Crawdaunt. You can try to look for a unique one in a Tera raid, of course, but the ones that spawn in Fellhorn Gorge are both too rare to reliably catch them and also not rare enough for Crawdaunt to be chosen as a unique glowing Tera Pokemon. The best advice for adding a Crawdaunt to your team is to just catch a Corphish. They will basically be some of the first Pokemon you’ll come across anyway and will possibly be at a higher level than they need to be for evolution.
