After a few months of distinctly averagePokemon GOCommunity Days, maybe excluding last month depending on who you ask, Niantic has come out firing.

Just like the Community Days of old, players will soon have the opportunity to catch one of the rarest Pokemon in the game at a much higher frequency.

Stepping into the spotlight is none other than Gible and by default, its evolutions Gabite and Garchomp.

Here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming Gible Community Day.

Shiny Gible Details

I guess the one minor negative with a Gible Community Day is the fact that its shiny form has been in the game for a little while now after releasing in December 2019.

However, for those, like myself, who haven’t had the chance to get their hands on one yet, this presents an exciting opportunity to grab a bunch.

Shiny Gible is definitely one of the more exciting Pokemon in the game as it undergoes a major palate swap.

Its usual dull blue and red colours turn into a much more vivid blue and yellow, making Shiny Gible stand out.

Sadly, neither Gabite or Garchomp’s shiny forms are as exciting, as they simply turn into slightly different shades of their normal colours.

Gible Community Day Features

This month’s Community Day will be taking place on Sunday, June 6. As always, it will kick off at 11 am local time, running for six hours, until 5 pm local time.

There are a range of features with the Gible Community Day that players will have the opportunity to get involved with.

One of the major selling points for many will be thefrequency of Gible spawns and its increased shiny rate. This will of course allow players to gain plenty of candy/XL candy.

For those with a focus on PVP, evolving a Gabite during the event window (plus two hours) will net aGarchomp that knows Earth Powerwhich will be sure to shake up the meta.

Players will also be able to grab themselves a one-offCommunity DayBox which will contain 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, five Lucky Eggs and an Elite Charged TM for 1,280 PokeCoins.

Finally, during the event,Incense will last for three hoursandplayers will earn 3x XP for catching Pokemon.
